^* A Tile Map Service (TMS) is a specification for tiled web maps. The HIU creates a TMS from processing raw imagery and publishes in a format that volunteers can easily map into OpenStreetMap. HIU imagery services must address significant data gaps for humanitarian and development needs and align with U.S. Government interests.
