Senior Humanitarian Affairs Analyst
From 1990 - 1996, he worked for USAID’s Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) as an information specialist and head of its Information Support Unit. In this position, he served as information officer on US Disaster Assistance Response Teams (DARTs) sent to Croatia, Bosnia, Mozambique and Angola. In 1996, he went to work for the United Nations, where he was one of the developers and project managers of the UN’s ReliefWeb website and worked for UNICEF in its Emergency Operations Center. In February 2002, he was the organizer of the UN-sponsored Symposium on Best Practices in Humanitarian Information that was held in Geneva Switzerland.
